I am addicted to these tasty little
balls of high protein, high fiber, high calorie (boo!) nutty chocolaty goodness. I found the recipe on another
blog I read, and since they reminded me of something my mom always makes that I super love, I wanted to give them a try. I followed the recipe but wanted to add some chocolate chips to the mix- just because I love chocolate- and it worked out well! These keep great for several days in the fridge and are surprisingly filling for something so small.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup creamy almond butter
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons honey
- Handful dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips (yes, dark is healthier!)
Directions:
- Combine the ingredients in a bowl, stir until completely combined
- Roll into balls and refrigerate for ~1hr
***This recipe makes 12-14 balls
