American Heart Month

February is American Heart Month due to the fact that heart disease is the #1 killer of both sexes in America. Today, February 4th, is "National Wear Red Day" to promote heart health specifically for women. Heart disease claims the life of 1 out of 3 women every year (compared to 1/8 for breast cancer) and is something that can most often be prevented with diet, exercise, and an overall healthier lifestyle (genetics is another story although those 3 things help with that too!). So ladies, put on some red, go for a jog, then enjoy a nice glass of red wine and whole wheat pasta. Your ♥ will thank you.
